Join us for a beautiful walk through the South Downs, starting from Hassocks and heading up to the iconic Ditchling Beacon. Expect rolling hills, big open views, and This is a self-guided community walk – we’ll meet up and follow the route together using AllTrails (no guide or leader).

About the Event
Join us for a scenic South Downs walk from Hassocks up to the iconic Ditchling Beacon
Expect rolling hills, wide open views, and that fresh countryside feeling — a perfect mix of challenge and reward. We’ll start at Hassocks Railway Station and head out towards Clayton, gradually climbing into the South Downs. Along the way, we’ll pass the famous Jack and Jill Windmills — a great spot for photos and a little pause.
This route has a few steady climbs, but we’ll take it at a relaxed, social pace with plenty of breaks.
