Undercliff, Kipling Gardens & Rottingdean Circular (Self-Guided)
Join us for a scenic coastal and countryside walk along the Undercliff path, through Rottingdean village, and up onto the South Downs. This is a self-guided community walk – we’ll meet up and follow the route together using AllTrails (no guide or leader).

About the Event
Join us for a scenic coastal and countryside walk along the Undercliff path, through Rottingdean village, and up onto the South Downs.
We’ll start near Brighton Marina and follow the famous Undercliff Walk — a flat, easy path running right beneath the white chalk cliffs, with the sea on one side and dramatic rock formations on the other.
From there, we’ll head into the charming village of Rottingdean, passing through Kipling Gardens and taking in a bit of local history, before heading up onto the Downs for wide open views across the hills and coastline.
This route offers a lovely mix of coastal walking, village charm, and rolling countryside — a really varied and rewarding walk just outside Brighton.
