About this meetup
Take a break from your day with a refreshing lunchtime dip and a chat by the sea. Our weekday meetups are a simple way to spend more time outdoors and meet people around Brighton & Hove. Some people swim, some take a quick dip, and others simply paddle or come along for a chat. You can take part in whatever way feels comfortable for you.
The usual meeting time is 12:30, Monday to Friday, on the beach behind the Peace Statue when the weather is nice. Check the WhatsApp group before setting off and say if you’re coming. It only takes two people to make a meetup.
A little note
We often take photos of our meetups to encourage other people to come along. We share these on WhatsApp and social media. If you’d prefer not to be in a photo, just let people know.
Important sea safety information
These are informal community meetups, not supervised swimming sessions. Brighton Outdoors does not provide lifeguards, safety supervision, instruction or equipment. Please check the weather, tides and sea conditions before attending, and only enter the water if you feel confident and comfortable. If in doubt, stay on the beach and enjoy a chat with the group.
